Is this FDA-approved?
No. The 3% and 6% strengths are compounded for you by a US-licensed pharmacy, and compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Minoxidil itself is well studied for hair loss.
How do I use it?
Apply it to a dry scalp as your physician directs. Wash your hands with soap and water right after every use.
What side effects should I expect?
Scalp dryness or itching, and a temporary early shed in the first weeks as follicles reset. Hair can grow where the solution runs, such as the forehead. Minoxidil is toxic to cats, so keep pets away from treated hair until it dries.
